Conner & Daphne’s Mérida Recs

Mérida is beautiful (and the food/drink is also delicious)! Here are a few spots we enjoyed when we visited last autumn.

Restaurants
- Pancho Maiz
  - Get the limonada con coco (coconut lemonade)
  - The enmoladas are also excellent
- El Cubanito
  - Cute family run Cuban restaurant, the walls are covered with the son’s paintings (he’s very good!)
- There’s a bunch of restaurants on Calle 47 that are really good (the previous mayor revitalised it as part of a bigger project)
  - Micaela — amazing Oaxacan food
Sweets
- Try a marquesita from a street cart! You’ll find these everywhere
- Dulcería y Sorbetería Colón — been around since 1905
- Pola Gelato
Cafes
- María & Montejo (the horchata coffee is amazing)
- Clandestino Café
Bars (Speakeasys)
